Rina Nakagawa
Founding partner · Juvenile cases and records
Rina is the firm’s founding partner. She takes juvenile cases and record petitions, and she likes to have the parents and the young person in the same room before the first hearing.
Rina started the firm after years as a public defender, where she learned how much of a case is made before anyone enters a courtroom.
She talks to the young person and the parent together and also apart. She prepares families for the pace of juvenile court, and she follows a case to the day a record is sealed, not only to the verdict.
